Amanda Proctor is a writer from South Slocan, BC, the unceded territory of the Ktunaxa, Sinixt, Secwepmec, and Sylix Nations.She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph and a BA from the University of Victoria. Currently, she is completing her first full-length poetry collection, exploring themes of intergenerational trauma, cultural inheritance, and embodiment.
Amanda’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in Room, Arc Poetry Magazine, Prairie Fire, and Best Canadian Poetry 2025, and elsewhere. She lives in Toronto.
